Another strange year of work is almost over. In 2022, what type of workplace developments might we expect?

As we approach the new year, these are the top six workplace trends that HR professionals should be aware of.

The high turnover rate persists

As per MindEdge’s ‘Age of Workplace Uncertainty’ poll, over 55% of HR leaders believe turnover is greater than it was before the pandemic – and they don’t anticipate that to improve anytime soon.

Additionally, most executives agree that hiring and onboarding employees remotely is more challenging than in the office. (On the plus side, the majority of executives polled by MindEdge believe remote interviewing is just as successful as in-person interviewing.)

Concerns about safety and health persist

Health and safety will remain a primary priority for employees in 2022, regardless of where they work. Companies will want to emphasise their commitment to keeping staff healthy.

“Managers may assist keep their workers healthy and safe by implementing COVID-19 testing and vaccine monitoring,” Schnee advised, while the federal vaccination regulations are still up in the air.

The focus is still on well-being
